Point Shot Photography does professional sports team photography in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For many athletes, playing on a sports team is a very memorable time in their life. Unfortunately, most players don’t get a lot of photos of themselves aside from the basic team photo. It’s my mission to capture some of their moments and preserve them in time.

What makes me different from the rest?

I offer high quality, bright images that will jump out at you. I’m sure you will agree that indoor arenas and sports facilities tend to be very dark - at least for regular photography. To counter this problem, I prefer to use mobile studio lighting and professional lenses designed for low-light situations. With this combination I will make your team photos absolutely stunning. For team photos, player head shots, poses, and “promo” style action shots, I like to use the studio lights. To capture in-game photos, I will use low-light lenses to stop the action. In addition to professional equipment, I have over 15 years of experience photographing various sporting events such as hockey, soccer, baseball, football, and volleyball. For the last 11 of those years I’ve been involved in shooting professional ice hockey, it has become my passion and I am very well travelled in the hockey world.

After your team session/event, your superstar photos will be posted in a private gallery on this website for viewing and downloading. You can purchase prints or novelty items from this website (an American photo lab vendor – great quality, although you must pay for shipping to Canada). For photos that are to be used commercially in advertisments (not for personal use), commercial licenses are available for purchase depending the application and use of the images.

From professional teams to “beer league” teams, if you make me your photographer you will get professional treatment. It’s as simple as this: you rent the facility; I will take some incredible photos of you. Don’t worry if you think you’re not that good, I will make you look good. It's my goal to give you the highest quality photos. I'm not satisfied until you are!

Although I’m a primarily a Winnipeg team photographer, I can provide services outside of the city of Winnipeg as well for a reasonable fee.
